Anarchy Starts Within - How The Revolution of the Heart began.

i am not okay

My name used to be Sarah Bleach and between 1993 and 1999 I performed in Comet Gain and Velocette. We were signed to Wiiija Records.

In 2022, shortly after turning 50, I experienced a kundalini (spiritual) awakening, and stepped out of the matrix to follow my heart.

I left my husband, home and job, became nomadic, and studied for a Diploma in Soul Midwifery and an MA in Creative Writing & Publishing.

The Revolution of The Heart revealed itself along the way.

Earlier this year I gave an academic talk at a history conference put on by the Subcultures Network.

The talk was called: ‘I am not okay: The Ordinary Life of an Everyday Incest Survivor - How Pop and Subculture Saved My Life’.

Matt made a music video to accompany it.

My Beautiful Disgrace (Sadie Please Come Home) is a love song to Sadie, my teenage alter-ego.

It is written and sung by me, and recorded and produced by Tom Collison.
